Languages In Silk - Landart & Artistbooks By Tanja Leonhardt

July 07, 2019

This beautiful exhibition focusing on shapes, movements, light and time, has been made for Dunbeath Heritage Museum in Tanja’s response to the writing of Neil Gunn and her favorite landscapes of the far North of Scotland and Orkney. Fragile banners of hand dyed silk and calligraphy reflect the exquisite, elusive and surprising moments of life beyond language; focusing on shapes, movements, light and time. All the artist books are made of thick, handmade paper, and create visual poetry with fluid art forms.

Come to our opening evening Monday 8th July from 6pm and see the exhibition within our usual business hours until the 19th
