SITE REF: DB12/24 DESCRIPTION: Deserted settlement cluster GRID REF: ND 1385 3195 (centre) SITES & MONUMENTS RECORD REF: This settlement consists of ruinous remains, mostly foundations. The settlement remains include at least three longhouses, two kiln houses (including DB12/24b, pictured), smaller rectangular buildings and large, possibly infield, enclosures, and field boundaries. Possible drainage channel with constructed banks. The kilnhouse DB12/24b contains two compartments, plus the kiln (detail pictured). There is much rubble scattered around the kilnhouse and inside the kiln, which is approximately 1m deep. Height OD: 104m Orientation: WSW-ENE RETURN TO ARCHAEOLOGICAL SURVEY MAP
